How to request a collection
Start by sending your pickup request through the enquiry form on our contact page. Include the collection suburb, full address, floor number if relevant, contact person, item type and the time window that suits your team. Collection and delivery suburbs, item type and the time window decide which route the job joins.
- Use the enquiry form for all new collection requests.
- State whether the item is a document envelope or a small parcel.
- Add any building access notes, gate codes or security counter instructions.
- Tell us if the item is ready now or will be released at a set time.
For same-day work in Midrand, Sandton, Randburg, Pretoria and the East Rand, early requests give us the best chance of a first run pick-up. We also handle metro hub collections in Durban and Cape Town where timing has to line up with road traffic and handover times.
What information helps us book you in
Clear booking details cut down on back-and-forth and help our dispatch team plan the route properly. If you are sending legal papers, tender packs, signed forms or internal mail, make sure the collection note matches the item on hand. If the parcel is fragile, sealed or time-sensitive, say so in the request.
- Collection address and suburb
- Contact name on site and a working number
- Delivery address or branch if it is a multi-stop run
- Item size, weight estimate and whether it fits in a standard envelope or satchel
- Any deadline such as court filing, tender closing or end-of-day sign-off
During load-shedding or building access interruptions, extra detail matters. If lifts are out or security access changes after hours, please mention it when you book. That helps us avoid delays and keeps the handover clean.
What happens after your request is sent
Once your request comes through, our dispatch team reviews the route, service area and timing. If the collection can be done the same day, we allocate a driver and send the job into the queue. For repeat clients, we can keep on file the regular collection points, branch names and preferred handover contacts to save time on future bookings.
You will be updated on the collection progress and, where required, we provide proof reporting after the item has been handed over. If the collection point is busy or access is restricted, the driver will follow the site instructions you shared. If there is a mismatch between the address and the contact person, we may need to check before arrival so the job does not stall.
- Booking reviewed by dispatch
- Route assigned to a suitable vehicle
- Driver sent to the collection point
- Collection completed and recorded
Items we collect most often
A-Two focuses on documents and small parcels that need careful handling and punctual movement. We do not treat every request the same way, because a signed contract, a tender pack and a small boxed item all need different handling. The aim is to keep the process practical and simple.
- Contracts, permits and legal documents
- Invoices, statements and internal mail runs
- Signed forms and completed packs
- Small retail or office parcels
- Priority submissions for tender or compliance deadlines
If the item needs extra care because of confidentiality or time pressure, tell us in the booking note. Our team in Midrand handles these jobs daily and knows how to move sensitive paperwork without unnecessary delay. For regular businesses, we can set up scheduled routes or daily collections so staff are not repeating the same request each day.
If your collection needs special handling
Some jobs need tighter control, such as returns management, event logistics, inter-branch transfers or internal mail runs across Gauteng. In those cases, it helps to specify whether the collection is one-off or part of a recurring account arrangement. We can also support multi-branch collections between Johannesburg, Sandton, Randburg, Pretoria and the East Rand, depending on the route and timing.
For coastal routes in Durban and Cape Town, humidity, parking access and building security can all affect timing so please add any special site notes. If your office has strict receiving rules, let us know whether the driver must sign in at reception, wait at the loading bay or collect from a specific floor. A short note saves a lot of phone calls later.
Need to change or cancel a booking
If your item is not ready, the office has moved, or the handover time has changed, send an updated request as soon as possible through the enquiry form. The earlier we know, the easier it is to adjust the route without disrupting other same-day runs. For live jobs, a quick update can stop a failed collection and keep your delivery on track.
When you reschedule, include the new collection time, any updated contact person and whether the parcel is still sealed and ready. If the item is no longer available, please state that clearly so we can release the driver and reallocate the run. That kind of note helps us keep punctual, especially on busy month-end days.
- Send changes early through the enquiry form
- Update the address, contact and time window
- Confirm if the item is still ready for pickup
- Ask for a new collection slot if the first one is missed
