Track A Delivery

Need an update on an active same-day run? Check the progress of your document or parcel delivery with A-Two. We help businesses and individuals track collections, hub handovers and final delivery points across Gauteng, Durban and Cape Town.

What You Need Before You Ask for a Status Update

Before you submit a tracking query, have the run date, delivery town and consignment number to hand. The most useful details are the sender name, collection suburb, delivery suburb, date, and any reference number shown on your booking confirmation. If the item moved through Midrand, Sandton, Randburg, Pretoria, East Rand, Durban or Cape Town, that route detail helps too.

For same-day work, timing matters. A parcel collected in Midrand during the morning peak may still be on route to another Gauteng address, or it may already be at the handover point for a metro run. A complete enquiry saves time and cuts down on back-and-forth.

  • Sender and recipient names
  • Collection and delivery suburbs
  • Date and approximate time of collection
  • Booking reference or job number
  • Any special note such as reception drop-off, security check-in, or after-hours delivery

How Same-Day Tracking Works on Active Runs

Our tracking updates follow the job from collection to delivery, with checkpoints added as the parcel moves between dispatch, vehicle handover and final drop-off. For document exchange and small parcels, we monitor the run in real time where possible so our dispatch team can confirm if the item is waiting for release, already in transit, or completed.

Not every status changes at the same pace. A route between Sandton and Midrand may update faster than a longer cross-city run, while a delivery into Durban or Cape Town metro may show fewer movement points until the next scan or driver check-in. That is normal and usually means the item is still on the booked route.

  • Collected: the item has been picked up
  • In transit: the driver has the parcel or documents on route
  • At hub: the item is waiting for the next handover
  • Out for delivery: the final leg has started
  • Delivered: the run has been completed

Where Delays Usually Happen and What They Mean

Most delays are caused by access, traffic, or a delay at the point of release. In Gauteng, peak congestion around Midrand, Marlboro, the N1 corridor and inner-city access routes can slow down a job even when it is still within schedule. In Durban and Cape Town, weather, loading access, or building security can also hold up the last step.

Load-shedding can affect reception areas, gate systems and building lifts, which sometimes means our driver has to wait for manual sign-in or a security escort. If the recipient site has limited access, please let us know when you place the booking and again if the situation changes. It helps our team adjust the run before the vehicle reaches the address, rather than after.

  • Reception closed or no one available to sign
  • Security delays at office parks and industrial sites
  • Traffic on major routes during peak hours
  • Weather, especially heavy rain or coastal wind
  • Load-shedding affecting access control or lift use

How to Send a Tracking Query Through the Contact Page

ATWO checks tracking questions sent from its Contact page form. Use the form to give the reference number, collection address, delivery address and the issue you need checked. For example, you can ask whether the item is still on the vehicle, waiting at a hub, or has already been handed over for delivery.

If the query is for a tender submission, urgent document exchange, or a time-sensitive return, say so in the note. That allows our operations team to treat the job with the correct priority and check whether an earlier handover is possible. Clear instructions mean less delay and fewer calls back and forth.

  • Use the same reference number used for booking
  • State whether the item is a document, envelope, or small parcel
  • Include the date and route suburb
  • Explain what update you need, not just that you want a check

What to Do If the Delivery Is Marked Delivered but Not Received

If your run shows as delivered but the item has not reached the right person, contact us straight away through the enquiry form. In many office parks the parcel may have been left at reception, with a gatehouse, or signed for by an authorised person on behalf of the recipient. We will check the handover note and the delivery detail on file.

For internal mail runs and multi-branch support, it is also worth checking with the local branch, operations team or receiving point before escalating. Sometimes the item is sitting in a secure mail room or with a department coordinator. If the delivery was to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Sandton or Randburg, ask the site contact to confirm the sign-in book too.

Active Delivery Support From Midrand

A-Two handles courier work for companies that need clear updates and punctual handovers across Gauteng, Durban and Cape Town. Our team in Midrand is set up for daily collections, scheduled routes, priority bookings and account-based support, which means we can track a live run while keeping the rest of the day moving.

Marnus Lombard leads the business, with support from Zama Ngwenya on operations, Kreeson Appalsamy on fleet control, Nandi Zulu on dispatch, Mishka Moodley in client services, Lesedi Mabaso on regional hub supervision and Willem Botha on compliance and safety. That structure helps us answer tracking queries accurately, even when a delivery is moving between Gauteng and another metro hub.

Questions we get asked

How do I check the status of my A-Two delivery?

Send a tracking enquiry through the contact page with your reference number, collection suburb, delivery suburb and booking date. That allows our team to check the run status against the correct job.

Why has my same-day delivery not changed status yet?

It may still be on route, waiting for access at the destination, or sitting at a handover point between legs of the journey. Traffic, load-shedding and site access can also slow the next update.

Can you help track deliveries between Gauteng and metro hubs in Durban or Cape Town?

Yes. We support active runs across Gauteng and to our Durban and Cape Town metro hubs, and we can check the movement of the job while it is in transit.
